Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura was also officially announced this week.

Why Daniel Bryan Was Not At Crown Jewel

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Bryan’s decision not to go to Saudi Arabia was made a long time ago. According to Bryan, he said after the Greatest Royal Rumble that he wouldn’t go back to the country.

“It wasn’t so much that the women weren’t allowed to perform,” Dave Meltzer wrote of Bryan. “But the key was what he learned about the treatment of homosexuals, and also, that they wouldn’t allow Sami Zayn to perform on the show, and he considered that racism.”

Hulk Hogan Returns At Crown Jewel

Hulk Hogan returned to WWE during the opening segment of Crown Jewel. He was announced as the host of the event but did little other than cutting a promo at the top of the show. Scott Hall said this week that he and Nash would be happy to go to Saudi Arabia for the next show as the NWO.

Ember Moon Married In Fantasy Style Wedding

Natalya Discusses Roman Reigns’ Announcement

Natalya covered the backstage reaction to Roman Reigns’ announcement on Monday in her column for the Calgary Sun.

“Backstage, our world stood still,” Natalya wrote. “We all were watching the monitor and hugging one another, crying and in total disbelief.  To me, Roman Reigns was WWE’s version of Superman and he was our locker room leader on Raw. I thought back to how hard he worked to realize his dream to win the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar and it made me sad to think everything now needed to be put on hold for him to battle this horrible disease.”
