Ryusuke Taguchi To Replace David Finlay In New Japan Cup

Ryusuke Taguchi has been named as David Finlay’s replacement in the New Japan Cup. Finlay injured his shoulder in the main event of Honor Rising night 2. NJPW announced Taguchi as Finlay’s replacement earlier today.

Taguchi will take on Hiroyoshi Tenzan in the 1st round.

NJPW Press Release On Ryusuke Taguchi Replacing David Finlay

David Finlay, whose left shoulder was injured in his championship match during Honor Rising on 23rd February, has pulled out of the New Japan Cup since his return from injury is as yet undecided.

Instead, Ryusuke Taguchi will be taking David Finlay’s place in the tournament.

With this change, Ryusuke Taguchi will be competing in the first round of the New Japan Cup on 10th March in Hyogo prefecture, where he will face Hiroyoshi Tenzan. – New Japan Pro Wrestling Co., Ltd.
