ROH Stars At NWA 70th Anniversary Show

The National Wrestling Alliance holds their 70th Anniversary show tonight in Nashville. 2 ROH stars will be on the show as Cody defends the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis and Colt Cabana competes in the tournament to crown a new NWA National Champion.

Kenny King vs Bullet Club Elite

It was a big week for Kenny King in ROH. Match-makers have granted him a shot at Jay Lethal’s ROH World Championship on November 11th in Toronto. His World Title shot will headline the Global Wars Toronto show.

On Ring of Honor television this week, Kenny King defeated yet another member of Bullet Club. This time he defeated Chase Owens after faking a knee injury and securing a roll-up for the pin. King attributes his new cheating ways to lessons he learned from Austin Aries during their rivalry earlier this year. King has now defeated Hangman Page, Marty Scurll, and Chase Owens from the faction.

Dalton Castle Returns For Survival Of The Fittest

After missing the last 4 months to let his back heal, Dalton Castle will return at Survival of the Fittest. The former ROH World Champion can get himself right back in title contention if he wins the annual tournament.

Kenny King and/or Cody To Challenge For ROH World Championship Next

From last week’s report:

At the conclusion of Glory By Honor Baltimore, Cody hit the ring during Jay Lethal’s celebration. Lethal had just disposed of Silas Young in the night’s main event. As Cody was about to challenge the champion to a future title shot, Kenny King hit the ring and did the same. It’s not clear yet who will get the next title shot.
