Rey Mysterio Nearing Return

According to a report from PW Insider, Rey Mysterio is close to returning. WWE is hopeful he’ll be back in time for the July 8th edition of RAW, though he isn’t yet medically cleared. He’s been dealing with a separated shoulder suffered at the hands of Samoa Joe at Money in the Bank. The injury resulted in Mysterio relinquishing the US title he won that night.

“Due to the unfortunate aftermath after winning the title, I suffered a separated left shoulder,” he said. “That has put me on the bench, so I’ve been doing some PRP and slight rotation movements. I’m trying to see if I could get back in possibly late June or July.”

Kyle O’Reilly Back Issues Continue

Kyle O’Reilly has been pulled from the upcoming EVOLVE shows he had been booked for. The Undisputed Era member also had to be pulled from NXT shows at the Download Festival in the UK due to his bad back. No timetable is available for his return but he appears to be day-to-day. EVOLVE announced today that O’Reilly has had to pull out of their scheduled shows for this weekend.

Kofi Kingston Joins 1500 Days As A Champion Club

WWE posted an article this afternoon noting that Kofi Kingston has now spent more than 1500 days as champion if you add up all his title reigns. Kofi has already spent more days as a WWE tag champion than anyone else in history. The only other wrestlers to pass the 1500 days as champion milestone in the post-WrestleMania era are Triple H, Hulk Hogan, the Miz, and John Cena.
