Kenny Omega Sidelined With Knee Injured, Leo Tonga To Make NJPW Debut

The IWGP United States champion, Kenny Omega, is dealing with a knee injury. Omega is expected to be sidelined until his September 24th title match with Juice Robinson.

Leo Tonga is the little brother of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. He will make his NJPW debut on the Road to Destruction show tomorrow.

NJPW’s September Schedule

The Destruction in Kobe show on the 24th will be NJPW’s last show for September. There will be 3 big shows this month, each one with several “Road to Destruction” house show events leading up to it.

Destruction in Fukishima happens this Sunday and will feature Minoru Suzuki defending the NEVER Openweight championship against Michael Elgin. Los Ingobernables will also defend their 6-man titles against CHAOS.

On the “Destruction in Hiroshima” card on the 16th, Hiroshi Tanahashi defends the IWGP Intercontinental championship against Zack Sabre Jr. Kushida will also defend his IWGP junior heavyweight title against El Desperado on that show.
