Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Hiromu Takahashi, has been on the injured list since being dropped on his head at the G1 special in San Francisco this summer. A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in November indicated that Takahashi’s return to the ring was not certain and his injury may have been severe enough to have ended his career.
“The updated word is that it is not certain when or if Hiromu Takahashi will be able to return to the ring,” wrote Dave Meltzer in November.
Recently, however, journalist Fuki Saito said he believes Takahashi will return to the ring but not for many months still. Saito was a guest on Chris Jericho’s podcast, Talk is Jericho when he made the comments regarding Takahashi.
“(Takahashi’s) out little longer than we originally thought,” Saito said.
“I think so,” Saito responded when asked if Takahashi will return to the ring. “Still, out like months and months.”
