Final Notes:

Conspiracy Theory On Enzo Storyline:

Enzo Amore’s gradual heel turn over the last couple of weeks has been a uniquely delivered storyline.

Several weeks ago backstage reports began to leak from dirt sheets that Enzo had a poor backstage reputation. This information started to come from the normal insider-sources such as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Not long after Enzo’s backstage reputation was the subject of “insider” websites, WWE began to move the backstage story in-front of the camera.

One theory is that WWE chose to take advantage of a real-life story. Another possible theory is that WWE planted the backstage stories and arranged leaking the fabricated stories to the dirt sheets as if they were real. Enzo conviently showed up in character to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight and seemed suspiciously fine with celebrities posing for pictures with him as if they would rather not be there. The worked angle then prepped fans to turn on Enzo. It’s only a theory, but it makes as much sense, if not more, than WWE turning Enzo’s real-life problems into a storyline.

His storyline with Neville also has many parallels with the Conor McGregor Floyd Mayweather bout from earlier this summer. Enzo is the cocky outsider coming into a new division/sport and believes he can knock out the established #1 guy etc. This storyline has Triple H’s fingerprints all over it.
