Tommy Dreamer To Receive NWA Title Shot in ECW Arena

ECW wrestling legend, Tommy Dreamer, will receive a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at House of Hardcore 39. This according to a recent update from NWA Owner, Billy Corgan.

Dreamer had originally been offered a title opportunity in November at House of Hardcore’s first live show on Twitch TV. Then NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Tim Storm, offered Dreamer or the opportunity to wrestle for the title. Storm would lose the title only a few weeks later, however, to current champion Nick Aldis.

House of Hardcore 39 takes place March 24th, 2018 inside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia; the venue which was formerly known as the ECW Arena.

Dreamer is a former 2x ECW World Champion (once in the original and once later in WWE’s version of the brand) and a former 14x WWE Hardcore Champion.

Nick Aldis vs. Tommy Dreamer?

The announcement that Tommy Dreamer will be receiving a title shot comes just days after Austin Idol and Nick Aldis announced a 60-day world tour. The current NWA champion is attempting to defend the title 20 times on the tour. The NWA has clarified that if he loses the belt at any point on the tour the new champion will pick up where he left off.

If Aldis is still the champion come March 24th, he will be the one to defend against Tommy Dreamer at House of Hardcore 39.
