Tama Tonga to Team With Kenny Omega in Australia

The situation within Bullet Club is getting more complex by the day. Just weeks after Tama Tonga cut a promo backstage at New Beginning in Sapporo which many took as a shot at Cody and Kenny Omega, he will be teaming with Omega on an upcoming show.

The main event matches for 2 of the 4 NJPW Fallout Tour shows have been announced. The main event from Melbourne is turning a few heads, as well.

NJPW Fallout Tour February 16th – 19th

February 16th main event (Adelaide):

  • Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii vs. the Young Bucks

February 17th Main Event (Melbourne)

  • Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero, & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kenny Omega, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga

It should be interesting to see how Tama Tonga and Kenny Omega work together in this match considering all that has been going on lately.

Tonga and Omega have had tension with each in the past as well. During the G1 tournament last year, Tonga was critical of Omega leading up to their round-robin match. In particular, Tonga was critical of Omega’s allegiance to “the Elite” in Bullet Club.

NJPW should announce more matches in the coming days.

Bullet Club Implosion

Many fans are stating the belief that it looks as though Bullet Club is going to fracture into separate groups.

The “Being the Elite” and “Bullet Club OGs” sub-factions appear to have been drawn already. Kevin Kelly has referred to sub-group of Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi, and their young lion, HIKULEO by this name before.

If Kenny Omega remains in Bullet Club despite his reunion with Kota Ibushi and falling out with Cody, remains to be seen.

Cody and Kenny Omega will face each other April 7th, 2018, at ROH’s Supercard of Honor. The results of that match will likely determine the future of the faction.
