Kurt Angle has made matches for both Roman Reigns and John Cena tonight as we move closer to No Mercy.
Last week John Cena defeated Jason Jordan in a singles match, and tonight it will be Roman Reigns’ chance to meet Kurt Angle’s son.
Roman Reigns vs. Jason Jordan
Reigns and Jordan have never been in the same ring together at the same time. That includes tag-team matches and even battle royals
Jordan has had 2 losses in a row, though granted they were to highly ranked competition. He lost to John Cena last week on Raw, and to Finn Balor on the August 21st Raw. Prior to that, he had won 3 straight since debuting on the brand. His victories were over lower ranked guys Curt Hawkins and Jean-Pierre Goulet, as well as a DQ victory over IC Champion, the Miz. He did fail to win the battle royal for an IC title opportunity on August 28th as well.
As for Reigns, he actually is experiencing a bit of a slump. He’s lost to Braun Strowman 3x this summer, and Samoa Joe got a victory on Raw over him in June as well. That being said, he’s still Roman Reigns and is a perennial title contender.
