Spin the Wheel, Make A Deal Match Booked – Sami Callihan vs Jimmy Havoc

Following War Games last week, teammates Sami Callihan and Jimmy Havoc got into a shoving match. Each seemed to blame the other for their team’s loss. Now, MLW has scheduled the two to face each other at the next set up tapings titled “Fury Road.” The event will emanate from the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. 13 days later the same venue will host Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory.

MLW announced Sami Callihan will face Jimmy Havoc in a “Spin The Wheel, Make A Deal” match on their October 4th Fusion tapings. Basically, they spin a wheel with 11 different gimmick matches. The options are listed below:

  • Chain Match
  • Body Bag Match
  • Coal Miner’s Glove Match
  • Barbed Wire Match
  • 1st Blood Match
  • Prince of Darkness
  • Spinner’s Choice
  • Death Match
  • Cage Match
  • I Quit Match
  • Dog Collar Match

Hart Foundation Victorious

Teddy Harty, Davey Boy Smith Jr, and Brian Pillman Jr defeated the Stud Stable this week in trios action. Following the match, Col Robert Parker kicked Parrow out of his faction as well.

Next week the Hart Foundation will take on the team of Rich Swann, ACH, and Marko Stunt. Hart got into a backstage altercation with Swann and ACH a few weeks ago.

If Hart, Smith, and Pillman think they are finished with Kevin Sullivan after the beating they gave him, however, they could be mistaken.

Lucha Brothers Contract Status

An in-ring segment this week played on the rumors surrounding Pentagon and Fenix possibly heading to WWE. Salina de la Renta said this week she has been talking with “Hunter” and offered the brothers new contracts. These contracts would send the brothers to WWE where they would receive English classes. The brothers tore up the contracts, however, and reiterated they are staying with Konnan.

Ricky Martinez was on-hand as de la Renta’s newest client.

MLW announced that the brothers are committed to Lucha Underground through 2019 and will be continuing with MLW as well. It’s believed they will continue with Impact Wrestling in 2019 as well.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Joey Janela Feud Continues

MJF teamed with Janela’s ex-girlfriend, Aria Blake, and defeated Taya Valkyrie and Joey Ryan this week. He then got on the microphone and said he’s taking the sleaze out of pro-wrestling.  MJF continued to say he took out Joey Ryan this week and defeated Janela for the MLW Middleweight title. Janela then jumped MJF from behind but was later taken out by a low-blow from the champion.

Janela would suffer a knee injury at a Game Changers Wrestling pay-per-view on Friday night, however. His status for MLW Fury Road (the next set of Fusion tapings) is currently unclear.

PCO and Brody King Ruled A No-Contest

In a match which will need to be rescheduled at some point, Brody King and PCO was ruled a no-contest this week. Both wrestlers put their hands on the official and generally ignored his commands.
