Abyss To Be Inducted Into Impact Hall Of Fame

Abyss was announced this week as the 2018 inductee into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. He joins the following names who have previously received the honor:

  • Gail Kim
  • Earl Hebner
  • Jeff Jarrett
  • Kurt Angle
  • Team 3-D
  • Sting

Impact Officials Met With WWE Management

It was reported this week by PW Insider that Impact officials Ed Nordholm and Scott D’Amore met with higher-ups at WWE. The meeting is believed to be about content sharing and/or a general meeting to get in the same room at the same time. There doesn’t seem to be much worth reporting other than they met.

Moose vs Eddie Edwards confirmed for Bound for Glory

The 4th match for Bound for Glory was officially confirmed this week as well. Moose will take on his former friend that he stabbed in the back, Eddie Edwards.

Andrew Everett Granted Release

Former tag-team champion, Andrew Everett, asked for and was granted his release from Impact this week.

“Earlier today I was granted my release from IMPACT wrestling,” Everett Tweeted. “I had great times with the company, and I’m grateful for the opportunities that I received while under contract. At this moment, I feel that I need to test the waters in free agency, allowing myself to find a new direction in my craft.”

“It’s exciting to see what awaits me in my career. Thank you for all your support, and again, thank you IMPACT Wrestling for bringing the Skywalker to a larger audience.”

Knockouts Championship
Tessa Blanchard (c) vs Faby Apache – Next Week

Faby Apache defeated Alisha Edwards on Impact Wrestling this week. After the match, the current Reina de Reinas Champion challenged Knockouts Champion, Tessa Blanchard. Earlier in the episode, Blanchard was seen acting entitled in the locker room and was confronted by Apache.

Lucha Brothers Contract Status

MLW announced that the brothers are committed to Lucha Underground through 2019 and will be continuing with MLW as well. It’s believed they will continue with Impact Wrestling in 2019 as well.
